Grilled Grapefruit
Time: 5-7 minutes
Servings: 2
- 1 grapefruit
- 1 teaspoon of palm sugar, sucanat or organic cane sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 pinches ginger (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
Directions
Wash grapefruit and cut it in half, along the hemisphere. Use a small knife to cut around the outside of the grapefruit (between the fruit and the pith, which is the while part) then cut along each of the white membranes separating the sections. This will make it much easier to scoop out the fruit later.
Top each half with some natural sweetener, a sprinkle of cinnamon and any other combination of spices you prefer. Spread them evenly on the face of the grapefruit
Heat a non-stick pan on medium-high heat. Place the grapefruit face down on the pan. Grill for 2-3 minutes, making sure not to burn.
Stand over the stove and take in the sweet aroma. Serve warm.

This sounds totally yummy! I love hot grapefruit juice, so I’m sure I’ll love this.
